Friday's Find
Tell the truth, your children are way more amazing than you, aren't they?
MINE TOO!
When you were 5—better yet 3 years old, did you not only conceptualize, but draw, color and cut out a "machine" that helped you to get the desired response from your parents?
ME NEITHER!
That little do-da pictured above is called the "Yes-inator", and our girls created it so that they can flash it about in Kris' or my direction before they ask us something that will likely glean a negative response. They wanted to do movie night on a week day, so the Yes-inator conveniently resurfaced after a few weeks in hiding. I think they might have seen it on an episode of Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, but I still think it's freakin' awesome that they sat together (without arguing!) and made this thing about 4 months ago, and to this day insist that it will eventually work.
INSANELY BEAUTIFUL, NO?
Okay, now you tell me a quick story about one of your children's AMAZING factor. I'm sure there are tons of stories to go around.
I'm such a sap. Deal with it! :)

Awww, I love the ingenuity of Early Childhood, and specifically of Marley and Sage. No kidos yet, but I'll share in time. ;)
Your kids are geniuses! I love that you encourage their innovative thinking and teamwork. At 3 months old, Marlie has us wrapped around her finger and I am not ashamed to admit that she has conned us a few times with her winning smile or by batting her big, pretty eyes at us. When she starts talking, we are doomed!!!
p.s. Loved Marley's vlog!
THAT is AMAZING! If you go over to my blog... you will see my children's CABIN that they spent HOURS building out of leaves and sticks fromt he yard, bark off of a dying tree stump! I was AMAZED at it's complexity! AND at the amount of time and imagination they put into it! Thanks for sharing this - I need a Yes-in-a-tor! Do you think they could make me one and send it to me - i just might use it on my KIDS when I ask them to do something - better yet, will you make it a yesmommy-ator? THANKS! :)
That's adorable! Be sure to keep that contraption when they've forgotton about it, it will bring sweet memories. My genius 13-year-old just came up with the brilliant idea of giving me and my husband alone time so we can celebrate his birthday. How did she propose this? By having a sleepover with her friend of course! They get more clever with age...
My favorite toy my sons made was actually outfitting a mini teddy they got in a happy meal. They used paper to make her a dress. I joined in and we had a photo shoot.
Oh my gosh,, how awesome are they? You gotta love it!
I'm convinced my 5 year old is the next Billy Mays (you know the oxy clean guy). I swear he can look at a commercial once and try to sell me on the product by repeating everything from the commercial and telling my how said product can help make my life earier around the house. He is too funny!
