What Would Your FlashForward Be?
Tell me you've at least heard of this new ABC series! It's soooo good! Not since X-Files have I been so fixated on a concept. Shout out to Robert J. Sawyer (the author of the 1999 novel on which the series is loosely based) for the thought-provoking concept! The premise is that during a large-scale scientific experiment, every living human being loses consciousness for two full minutes, during which they experience a vision of themselves six months from the current date. Basically, everyone sees six months into their future. I LOVE IT! I look at is my command to the Universe for how I expect to live in the near future. In the book, the flashforward is 21 years away, but they had to hurry the script along for the sake of TV, which is alright with me :) Check out the blog, you're interested.
I'm "outting" my flashforward right now, and I want to know yours too. Don't make me feel like a big geek by snarling at this post and moving on. The concept is intriguing, no? So, what's your flashforward??? I really want to know!
...and now, for your viewing pleasure...(not-so) Live from my YouTube channel:

I have not yet seen an episode, only previews. But you have me wanting to watch it now. Going to have to look up the time and tune in.
My Flash Forward would definitely be planning, and executing, the successful launch of my magazine.
I am seeing the outfit that I would wear, I am seeing a full house of supporters that have filled the seats in the place I have reserved in Downtown Oakland. I am at the podium explaining the reason the magazine came to life, and what the purpose of it will be. I see a successful night, with lots of local, and national press.
Final stop...Oprah! I just know she is going to want to hear all about it :-)
I LOVE this show. I agree that the concept is a great one! And very happy to know that I am not the only X-Files junky... I catch the show running on SyFy during the week.
In my flashforward I see myself, 4 days after my 26th birthday, finally having completed the transition from student to employee of a nice little start up company that affords me great pay and plenty of time to spend with my daughter. I am dressed in a skirt suit, locs growing, and engaged in conversation with a co-worker over lunch.
Flash Forward is DA BOMB! Love that show! I love stuff like this...intense and fun at the same time! I like the idea of giving your own flash forward. Unfortunately, what mine would be, I can't post on my blog...at least not yet. But thank you for giving me something to write in my journal about!!
I. Absolutely. LOVE. This! You look gorgeous. Your flashforward isn't what you are imaging it will be... Girl I SEE it happening! Amen! God has given you the vision - Believe it. Claim it. Live it.
I wish my camera was working because I would so join you on this one.

Monday, sunny afternoon/evening
I have just finished designing the vegan dessert menu for one of Atlanta's fine restaurants. I move on to finish off the recipes for the taping of my culinary show that airs late summer/early fall. My life partner calls just as I finish and offers to take me to my favorite restaurant for dinner. I shower, put on my sundress, surrender to the evening and get ready to receive all the love offerings from my life-partner. Ase :)
AweSOme,AwEosME show!!! The concept is great, and what i love is that it leaves so much possibilities of what could happen if we had knowledge of future events, and given this knowledge what would we do (or not do)...hmmmm, DEEP!!!
So my flshfrwd - "I am walking inside of my one bedroom apartment after a long day at the job. I open my fridge and realize that I shouldnt have not waited so long to go grocery shopping. Disappointed, I walk over and colapse on the couch. With a slight feeling of brain exhaustion, coupled with brooding hunger pain, I release a stress filled sigh. And as I lean towards the end table to reach for the remote, my cell phone rings..."
Once again, the comments are even more fun that the process of creating the post!!
@Traci - that is not a flashforward, that's REALITY!
@Ms. Bar B - I had to email you on that one b/c I see that and more! You're obviously walking the walk and talking the talk, so now all that we need is time!
@Quiskaeya - Thank you, and Amen, A'se, a so it go!
@Christie - I'm looking forward to it, whenever it is revealed!
@Mr. Palmer - yu done know!

@MykeMaxwell - cliff hanger like a mug! You need to do a short story on that, b/c I want to know what happens next!
SHUT UP, I just started watching this show and became instantly hooked. In fact I sat in the office (@work) watching 4 episodes last Friday I kid you not. I was just thinking about doing a Flash Forward post.
In fact I'm going to go work on it now.
I love the video: my flash forward moment would be;
recieving a phone call from a client that needs my help as a fashion stylist for their upcoming event. I check my calendar and it's free so I get in the ball rolling, the creativity in me begins and I wow them at the event. This client loves my work and wants to continue to use me for mire upcoming work. I call my Lion and he begins to Roar and says lovely my Lioness then begins to pray with me for guidance and strength with this new venture.
@ Stephanie: I'm looking forward to your post!!!
@VirtuousOne: LOVE It! I'm fortunate to be on the list of VirtuousOne clients!!!
How did I miss out on this show? I need to catch up because it is right up my alley. I am going to think hard and maybe not post about it but put a plan together. Thank you for motivating me to do this pretty lady.
What a creative challenge! :) As soon as I brush my hair and get presentable, I will join in with a vlog :)
Love the simplicity of your vision - it's not far reaching or over the top, but it is all inclusive and attainable - I wish you success in making it reality :)
